Hi, I’m Warren, and I started Equidus K9 with one belief: no dog is untrainable.
Behind every barking fit, leash tug, or nervous growl is a story—and we’re here to listen, understand, and help change the ending.
At Equidus K9, we blend modern behavioral science with compassionate, real-world training to help dogs—and their humans—live better together. We know how stressful it can feel when your dog won’t listen or seems out of control. That’s why we don’t just train dogs—we coach people, too.
We’ve helped hundreds of pet parents across Pennsylvania gain confidence, restore peace at home, and fall in love with their dogs all over again. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a reactive rescue, we meet you exactly where you are—then guide you forward with proven tools, structure, and support.
Warren started his professional dog training career in 1996. He studied at West Virginia Canine College and and graduated as a master professional trainer.
After graduation, he got a job at Kimbertal Kennels as a trainer dealing with aggressive dogs. He worked there until he started training for himself.
He started becoming active in dog sports in N.A.P.D which led him to PSA and IGP. Warren has titled many dogs and worked with top names in the sports. He has been a certified decoy in both PSA and IGP. While currently, he is certified in WDA and as a police k9 decoy.
He has rescued aggressive dogs and rehabbed them to be placed in forever homes. Currently he is training his personal dog Muppet and hoping to trial this year. When enjoying his time off Warren is training his dog Flint in PSA.
Nina has had a love of training dogs and working with animals since she was a kid. Growing up in the horse country of Southeastern PennsylvaniaI where she had a menagerie of pets; family dogs, hunting dogs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, and horses.
From teaching the 15yo border collie mix her family had as a kid to shake and proving you can teach old dogs new tricks; to helping her dad work his Golden Retriever gun dog and Britney field dog before the hunting seasons started and later working her Malinois in tracking, detection, obedience, protection, agility and bike-joring. She has been training professionally for almost 10 years. In 2019, she attended Tarheel Canine Training’s six month trainer program. On top of training dogs Nina has worked with horses and other farm animals for close to 20years.
She has also volunteered for numerous animal rescues, her favorite being a thoroughbred rescue in Maryland that retrains thoroughbreds as regular riding horse and breed ambassadors and a few Malinois and german shepherd breed rescues. Nina’s background in dog training consists of obedience (basic, advanced, and sport), detection/nose work, reactivity, and fear aggression. She loves helping owners build better relationships with their dogs and showing them their dog's full potential!
In her spare time, you can find her participating in personal protection, detention/scent work, frisbee and hiking/riding/playing with her horse (Bucky), German Shepherd (Auggie) and Belgian Malinois (Ziva and Lucifer) and helping out at the horse rescue.
